I’m so excited! NBC has ordered an eighth season of The Blacklist!!

AND there are no current plans for Season 8 to be the show’s final season.

This coincides with the Blacklist‘s 150th episode.

With the cast and crew in NYC where the renewal announcement was made by NBC execs.

As if this wasn’t AWESOME enough, NBC has set a return date for The Blacklist’s current seventh season, which will resume Friday, March 20 at 8 PM with two back-to-back episodes.

In its seventh season, The Blacklist averaged a 1.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 8.1 million viewers overall as the season’s #1 Friday drama in most current 18-49 season standings. It’s incredibly popular. And hubby Pete and me can’t just get enough of it!

The Blacklist first premiered on NBC on September 23, 2013. The show follows Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader), a former Navy officer turned high-profile criminal, who voluntarily surrenders to the FBI after eluding capture for decades. He tells the FBI that he has a list of the most dangerous criminals in the world that he has compiled over the years and is willing to inform on their ops in exchange for immunity from prosecution. However, he insists on working exclusively with a rookie FBI profiler by the name of Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).

The series also stars Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold and Harry Lennix. The pilot episode was written by Jon Bokenkamp and directed by Joe Carnahan.
